Lot of two 1930s book shaped compacts!
Both are faux leather with nice mottled designs. The one on the left measures
2-3/4" x 2" and has room for a monogram on the front. It's engraved "Unique"
in that area. It pulls open and reveals a discolored mirror on one side.
The opposite side has the rouge and powder sections, unused with puffs.
Nice condition. The other book compact measures 3" x 2-1/8" and is 1/4"
thick. It has nice designs in the faux leather along with a center pattern.
The side slide piece opens to reveal the discolored mirror on one side
and the opposite side has the used rouge and powder sections, with one
puff. No company id. Both are great figural compacts for your collection! |

Lot of two nice 1930s compacts. The one
on the left is 2-1/2" x 2" silverplate with blue plastic sides and blue
enamel lid. The back is silver tone. The clasp lifts up to reveal the mirror
on one side and the opposite side has the rouge and powder sections, with
puffs. It's marked Langlois on the inside and Cara Nome on the outside.
Nice deco looking compact, no damage. The other compact is a black metal
measuring 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" and has a line design and the name Le Chic on
the front. The back is plain black, with normal surface wear. The inside
has a mirror on one side, tiny discoloration dots. The opposite side has
the unused rouge and powders, still there, with puffs. Sweet 1930s unused
compact. |

Lot of two square compacts. The one on
the left is 2-3/4" gold tone with a nice mottled reddish color with cream
enamelled circles. The back is gold tone and shows slight tarnishing. The
inside has a mirror on one side, mostly discolored and the opposide side
has the lift up section for the loose powder, no puff. It's signed Columbia
Fifth Avenue on the inside lift up section. Even with slight flaws, displays
great! From the 1940s. The other compact is a 2-3/4" Harriet Hubbard Ayer
square gold tone with black, white and gold checkered/plaid enamel design
on the front. The back is gold tone. The inside has a mirror on one side
and the opposite side has a lift up section for the loose powder, with
signed puff. Nice 1940s compact. |

This is a lot of two nice enamelled unused
compacts. The one on the left is 2-1/4" square with light blue and yellowish
enamel with line designs. The back is plain gold tone. The inside has a
lift up mirror that reveals the unused rouge, still there with puff. The
opposite side was for the loose powder with screen and puff. It comes with
the original protective sleeve and box with the La Mode name on it. La
Mode was a trade name for the Massachussetts Ripley and Gowen company.
They made great enamel compacts in the 1920-30s. No damage. The one on
the right is also a Ripley ? Gowen compact, but I can't find any markings.
It's a fun triangular shape and measures 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" with white enamel
with pink flowers with green and blue leaves. The back is gold tone. Inside
has the lift up mirror on one side that reveals the rouge section, still
there with puff. The opposite side was for loose powder, with puff. No
damage. Two nice compacts! |

Three fun 1930s deco enamel compacts! The
one on the top is 2-1/4" x 1-3/4" gold tone with black lines on both sides.
It has a fold over clasp and opens to reveal a mirror on one side. The
opposite side has a lift up rouge section with puff and a powder section
with puff. It has the Valaze company logo on the inside. The one on the
right is a 2" silverplate with a green and black deco enamel design on
the front. The back has a design in the silverplate. Tiny tiny dots of
green enamel off, being picky! The inside has a center metal mirror, one
side reveals the rouge with puff and the opposite side is for loose powder,
with puff. No company id. The round silverplate compact has brownish/maroon
enamel on both sides. The front only has silver overlay lines and flower,
the back is enamel with normal surface wear. The inside has a mirror on
one side and the opposite side has the powder cake with puff. No company
id, but it looks like an Evans compact. All three compacts are in great
condition and fun additions to your deco compact collection! |

Lot of three 1930s sweet compacts! The
one on the top is 2" x 1-1/2" gold tone with cream enamel with black border
on both sides. It also say Les Parfums Marly on the lid. The inside has
a center metal mirror that lifts up to reveal the rouge with puff on one
side and the opposite side is for loose powder with signed puff. No enamel
damage. The round one is 1-1/2" round and pinky/peachy with a deco looking
lady on the lid with the name L'Adonna. The back has the partial sticker
with the shade Toppy printed on it. The inside has the mirror on one side
and the opposite side has the partially used rouge, no puff. The unused
octagon shape compact measures 1-1/2" and has a black plastic bottom with
the label with the shade Poppy on it as well as a partial price tag, haven't
tried to remove the price tag. The lid is bright red enamel with the Boyer
Paris name on it. The inside has a mirror on one side, slightly cloudy.
The opposite side has the unused rouge under paper label. It has the original
signed puff with the Boyer stamp tag. Nice compacts for your collection! |

Sweet lot of two compacts. The one on the
left is a square fabric plaid compact that measures 2-3/4." Both sides
are the same. The inside has a mirror on one side and the opposite side
has the lift up section that held loose powder, no puff. No company id.
Sweet 1930s compact, no damage or wear to the fabric. The round Vogue Vanities
compact measures
3" and has a cream enamel with bright
multi colored enamel flowers all over. The back is cream enamel. The inside
has a mirror on one side, slightly cloudy and the opposite side has the
powder sifter and signed puff. No damage to the enamel. Vogue Vanities
was a 1940-50s English company that made nice enamel compacts. |
